Religious Education

The parish is the center of faith formation for Catholics. Every person in your pews, every Catholic in your parish community…child or adult…is on their own journey toward Christ and a life of discipleship.

Religious Education Classes, (often referred to as "CCD" - for Confraternity of Christian Doctrine) are held for all those in Grades K through 8.

Classes are held on Sundays following the 10:00 AM a mass. This allows families to attend the 4:00 PM Saturday or 10:00 AM Sunday Masses

Preparation for First Holy Communion and Confirmation are a part of our Religious Education Program and requires two years of classes. (First Holy Communion requires attendance for first and second grade.)

Children attending Catholic Schools are not required to attend classes, but parents are asked to notify us of those in second grade so that they may be kept informed about preparation for First Penance and First Holy Communion. They will be asked to attend parent meetings, mini-retreats and some final classes which include practice for the actual reception of the Sacrament.
